December Women's Ministry

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:11

This is a wonderful season! Let us enjoy the activities of our church as we celebrate Christ’s birth.

Diane Nestlebush and Ida Borhauer traveled to Albuquerque on November 8th to a Gathering of PW Synod of the Southwest. It was a fun and inspirational time. There were workshops led by great leaders. Diane attended a workshop on immigration led by two sisters from Mexico; Ida attended a study of Exodus led by a professor from Menual School. We worshiped in a beautiful Spanish-style chapel. There was singing, good food, and most of all the fellowship and love of Presbyterian Women from Arizona and New Mexico.

We are fortunate to have gatherings that are planned for us by Presbytery of Grand Canyon that offer a time of spiritual renewal. This spring the gathering will be a retreat at Franciscan Renewal Center in Scottsdale. The date is March 1, 2014. More information will be coming before that date.

Would you like to get more out of your Bible Study this year? We all have the opportunity to meet with Pastor Harrell Davis once a month as he leads us through our study book, “An Abiding Hope, the Presence of God in Exodus and Deuteronomy.” Bible Study leaders and those who would like to have further insight into the study are encouraged to attend.

THE NEXT MEETING WITH PASTOR DAVIS WILL BE 9:30 AM ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 5TH , IN ANNEX 3. Bring your Bible Study Book!

There will be a Coordinating Team Meeting on Wednesday, January 8th at 11:00 am. (We are not able to meet on the first Wednesday of the month as that day is New Years Day.) Please plan to attend.

REMINDER: Holiday High Tea, December 14

Blessings to All,

Diane Nestlebush, Moderator
