On Sunday, November 10, 2013, First Presbyterian Church of Sun City celebrated our 50th anniversary with a special worship service followed by an ice cream social to which we invited our neighbors.

The worship service featured guest appearances by former pastors Rev. Dr. Douglas Wright, Rev. Richard Zabriskie, Rev. Dennis Clarke, and Rev. David Glen Walker; and special music, including the debut performance of "Great Bells of Fire," the new handbell choir under director Sherrill Tyacke; a guest performance by organist Mary Lou Pancy; "Rejoice! Rejoice!" as the anthem by the choir under the direction of Dr. William (Bill Gleason); and a rousing postlude of "The Saints Go Marching In" by the Sun City Stomperz.

The ice cream social was held after worship in the church courtyard, with more music by the Sun City Stomperz.
